Mechanism of wool finishing agent
Wool finishing agents are generally amino silicone or block silicone . Due to the interaction between amino groups and carboxyl groups on the surface of wool, it can increase the affinity of silicone to fibers, improve washing resistance. At the same time, the interaction between amino groups and carboxyl groups allows siloxane to adhere to the surface of fibers in a directional manner, producing excellent hand feel and reducing the friction coefficient between fibers, thus achieving a good soft and smooth finishing effect.
As shown in the figure, various forms of forces can be generated between the large molecules of the finishing agent and wool fibers, as well as between the large molecules of the finishing agent, thereby forming a cross-linking system between the fibers, and increasing the elasticity and wrinkle recovery angle of the fabric.

The reason for the significant increase in fabric tear strength is that the finishing agent can penetrate deep into the fibers, forming a film from the inside to the outside, reducing the friction coefficient between fibers and yarns, thereby increasing their mobility. Therefore, when the fabric tears, the yarns are easy to gather and there are more yarns to jointly bear the tear force, resulting in a significant increase in tear and fracture strength.
